Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Last updated: 20 June 2026 · Effective: 20 June 2026
This Disclaimer applies to the salfetch.app website and the interactive Demo (the “Site”) and to the SALFETCH self-hosted software (the “Software”). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Where you have a separate signed or confirmed License Agreement for the Software, that agreement also applies; this Disclaimer is in addition to it and does not replace or limit it.
1. No warranty — provided “as is”
The Site and the Software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties, conditions, or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site or Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, that defects will be corrected, or that any result, output, performance level, or outcome will be achieved. Any material, advice, or information — whether written or spoken — that you obtain from us or through the Site or Software does not create any warranty not expressly stated here.
2. You are responsible — no responsibility for misuse
You are solely responsible for your use of the Software, for the people you allow to use it, and for everything done through your installation. In particular, you are responsible for ensuring that you use the Software only on networks, systems, devices, and accounts that you own or are explicitly authorized to administer, using credentials you are authorized to use, and only for lawful purposes.
The Software is self-hosted: it runs on your own infrastructure and under your own control. We do not operate it for you, do not monitor how you use it, and have no access to your installation, your credentials, or the networks you point it at. Accordingly, we are not responsible for any misuse of the Software, including any unauthorized access, unlawful activity, breach of a third party’s rights, or breach of your organization’s policies carried out by you or by anyone using your installation. Misuse may also breach our Acceptable Use Policy and, in some cases, may be unlawful; responsibility for it rests with the person who carries it out.
3. Operational risk of network automation
SALFETCH can connect to network devices and, where you enable it, read and change configurations, push commands, transfer images, and perform software upgrades across many devices at once. Used without care, such operations can cause service interruption, misconfiguration, loss of connectivity, data loss, or other impact to your environment. You acknowledge and accept this risk, and you agree to:
- review dry-run output and understand the effect of any command, change, transfer, or upgrade before you apply it;
- maintain your own backups, change-control, approvals, and roll-back appropriate to your environment; and
- test against a limited scope before running an operation across your wider fleet.
You remain responsible for the effect of any operation you choose to execute. We are not responsible for outcomes that result from how the Software is configured, scoped, or used in your environment.
4. Use at your own risk
Your access to and use of the Site and the Software is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Software, including any reliance on their availability, output, or results.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will SALFETCH (Saleh Alharbi), or anyone involved in creating, producing, or delivering the Site or Software, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business, or anticipated savings, or for network downtime, configuration errors, device damage, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Site or Software or your use of them — whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site or the free Demo is limited to SAR 0 (they are provided free of charge). For the Software, our total aggregate liability is governed by, and limited as set out in, the separate License Agreement for that Software; where no such limit applies, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to us for the Software in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
6. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SALFETCH (Saleh Alharbi) from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Site or Software; (b) your breach of the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy, or this Disclaimer; (c) your violation of any law or regulation; or (d) your infringement or violation of the rights of any third party, including any unauthorized access to or impact on any network, system, or device.
7. Third-party systems, networks, and data
You are responsible for any third-party systems, services, devices, networks, and data you connect to or act upon using the Software, and for obtaining any permissions required to do so. We are not responsible for third-party products or services, or for any consequence of your interaction with them through the Software.
8. Rights that cannot be excluded
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or any rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and the remainder continues to apply.
9. Relationship to other terms
This Disclaimer supplements our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. For licensed Software, the separate License Agreement provided to you when you place an order also applies; if there is any conflict between this Disclaimer and that License Agreement in relation to the Software, the License Agreement prevails for the Software.
