SALFETCH · Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026 · Effective: 6 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SALFETCH handles personal data collected through the salfetch.app website. It is written to align with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
1. Who is responsible (Controller)
SALFETCH is developed and operated by Saleh Alharbi ("SALFETCH", "we", "us", "our"), an independent software provider based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You can reach us at info@salfetch.app. For privacy matters, contact info@salfetch.app.
2. Important: the self-hosted software
SALFETCH software is self-hosted — you install and run it on your own server or network. Your operational data (device credentials, configurations, inventories, reports, and any network information the software processes) stays inside your own infrastructure. We do not receive, access, store, or transmit that data. This Privacy Policy therefore covers only the website salfetch.app.
3. What we collect
- Information you submit via forms: your name, email address, company/organization, approximate fleet size, the tasks you select, and any message you write.
- Technical data: standard server/access information collected by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps) for security and operation.
- Local preferences: your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage. The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies by default.
4. Why we use it (purposes)
- To respond to your request or question and provide quotes and information.
- To communicate with you about a possible or existing licence, and to provide support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
5. Legal basis
We process the data you submit on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and running our business, and to meet legal obligations, consistent with the PDPL.
6. Who we share it with
- Hosting & forms: the Site and its forms are hosted on Netlify, which processes submissions and technical data on our behalf.
- Email: our email is provided by Zoho Mail; correspondence you send us is stored there.
- We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law.
7. International transfers
Some providers (e.g. Netlify) may store or process data on servers located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps so that the data remains protected consistent with the PDPL.
8. Retention
We keep enquiry and correspondence data for as long as needed to handle your request and our ongoing relationship, and to meet legal/tax requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights under the PDPL
Subject to the PDPL, you may have the right to: be informed about how your data is used; access your data; request correction; request deletion; and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email info@salfetch.app. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent Saudi authority (SDAIA).
11. Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
